Horrible reaction to eye every time I try this product!
onJanuary 5, 2014
I don't know what is in this eye cream, but I have been using Lancome eye creams for years. Every time I try this one, my eyes lids and all surrounding tissue swell dramatically. Also, my eyes turn blood red and this reaction lasts for a couple of days! I was shocked to just read several other reviews out of only 9 who had the same reaction. Not sure what is in this product, but obviously it needs to be reformulated!

Horrible brush for lining eyes!
onJuly 26, 2013
I bought this because I had bought a few of the gel eyeliners as well. I was excited that the price of this brush was very reasonable. But, I was very disappointed upon receiving the brush. The liner end is not fine at all. It is much too thick to get an even application. Also, the liner end is not even angled or pointed at all which makes it even more difficult to use. I figured I'd keep it and just keep practicing, but it was horrible. No mater I applied the eyeliner with this brush, it made a very thick line that was impossible to get straight and even. It created the effect of a large, oversized pencil eyeliner that makes a huge, thick line but even worse because it wasn't straight. It also makes the eyeliner get cakey so that it doesn't go on easily. So some areas have a light, barely noticeable line and other areas are dark and colorful. The smudger end works fine, though, but that's not what I bought it for. After trying for several weeks, I decided to just go and buy another department store's brand brush made for gel eyeliners and am glad that I did because it is so easy now to make perfect, thin lines with the other brush. The other brush is actually very fine, thin and pointed which makes for easy application. I hope Lancome will make a brush like that in the future to go along with their gel eyeliners.

Great eyeliner- with the right brush!
onJuly 26, 2013
I have this gel eyeliner in the purple jewels, indigo and just ordered the brown. I do like the eyeliner, but you have to have the right brush. I bought Lancome's suggested brush to go with it and it did not go on well at all. But, I got a very thin and pointed fine tip brush from another company and it makes application of this eyeliner very easy and fool proof! I like how the eyeliner lasts ALL day. In fact, I have to use eye makeup remover to get it off because it doesn't even wash off. That means it doesn't run at all, either, which is great. I think the texture could be improved a little because it does sort of flake, but not in a dry way (if that makes sense). All in all, with the right brush this is a great eyeliner to use. The colors are very vivid and beautiful.

SO not for oily skin!!!
onJanuary 17, 2013
My favorite thing about this product isa whole bunch of nothing
I'm really not sure why this is marketed for oily skin. I purchased this when my Teint Idole was changed to a new formula. After reading horrible reviews of the new formula from people like me who had been using it for years, I figured I'd try this one since it says it's best for normal to oily skin. I have only combination skin and when I first put this on in the morning, I thought it was decent except it was extremely liquidy. But, less than a few hours later my face felt so disgusting from the makeup seeping into my pores that I could hardly wait to get home and wash my face. When I looked in the mirror, my whole face was extremely greasy! More so than not wearing any makeup at all. I even tried to use it for a few more days, but it was the same. Needless to say I returned it.

Yes, it's waterproof....and bifacil proof, too!
onJanuary 17, 2013
My favorite thing about this product isnothing
I accidentally purchased the waterproof version of this mascara. The very first day that I used it, I didn't even think about the fact that it was waterproof because it wore like all Lancome mascaras do (they don't even need to make waterproof, really!) until I washed my face in the evening. After washing, I looked in the mirror and realized that I had a full coat of mascara on. Then I remembered that it was waterproof. No problem, I thought, I'll just use my Bifacil to remove it....not so! It still did not come off! The next night I decided to use the eye makeup remover first, then wash to see if that would make a difference. Nope. Still had a full coat of mascara on, and also it was now underneath my eyes as well. So, I used a second dose of the remover and at least got it off from underneath my eyes, but not my lashes! I will NEVER buy a waterproof mascara from Lancome again.

What color eye shadow would you wear with the indigo darling liner design. I have dark brown eyes.

When the lancome artist did my makeup, he used a bright gold shadow with the indigo. It looked nice, but was a bit much for day time. I usually use it with a shimmery, neutral beige for day time.

Where is the pen?

Hi,
I bought this product.
I thought the pen should be included in the box, but it is not.
I looked at the website but I didn't see where I can get a pen.

Thanks,
Liyuan
This product doesn't come with the brush. You have to buy a brush separately.

What's the difference between Teint Idole Ultra 24h and the same with octinoxate?

I recently bought Teint Idole Ultra 24h spf 15 and it wasn't my real shade. Then I asked someone to get meanother one, a lighter shade. But When I got the second, I realized that it wasn't actually the same. There's octinoxate in this formula and the shades doesn't match.
You must have had the old formula with the first bottle and the new formula with the second. The old formula didn't have spf in it. Also, the shades did change when the formula changed.

Did this foundation make anyone else break out?!

I am 18 years old and worked for years to get my skin cleared up. I recently tried out this foundation and now my skin is breaking out all over again! Did this happen to anyone else? Im trying to figure out if its the foundation or just hormones or something.
This foundation does not make me break out at all and I have acne that started when I turned 30. I used the old teint idole for about a decade and at first I hated the new formula. But, with practice, I have learned how to get it right and I like it just fine. It is most likely the sunscreen that is causing people breakouts. I hope Lancome will remove the sunscreen in the future. But, I have to say, I cannot wear any sunscreen on my face (not even in Lancome's moisturizers) because it always triggers acne for me. Oddly enough, the teint idole is just about the only product with spf they make that does not do this for me.
