This is the second of the all-in-one colour designs that I have used. This set is amazing. 1. Base - it's a lovely champagne shimmer colour. 2. Lid - this is a rich plum colour with some plum and gold shimmer to it. Not quite as shimmery as the base. 3. Crease - violet purple colour with shimmer. 4. Highlighter - a shimmery light brown-bronze that applies lighter than it looks in the palette. 5. Liner - this is a black colour with flecks of micro-glitter.
These colours go great together. If you do not wear a primer base, they do tend to crease and the black won't stay on well. With a shadow primer though, I've gotten back from a wedding where I wore this, fell asleep when I got home, and it was still on just perfect in the morning. I do however also use a black pencil liner under the black liner from the palete. This better defines the eyes while still letting the palette liner give a more smokey look. Amazing texture. Best applied with brushes rather than provided applicator. Shadows can easily be used even alone. I'd say this is a very classic and romantic colour set.
When I first started wearing makeup, I started using this remover. I've used it for longer than I care to admit. It works great for waterproof mascaras and even the paint on lip colours that are impossible to remove with any other removers I've used. No rubbing, just gentle gliding off of the makeup. Leaves skin a tad oily after using, but not in a bad way...more of a moisturizing way. Works great for sensitive skin as I've never had a problem with this and have had issues with everything from department store to drug store products. Highly suggest this!
This is a great colour and great shadow. It's listed differently than I would agree on. It is a solid pink colour with gold shimmer. Smooth texture and easy application with brushes or finger. This colour blends easily and even sans primer will stay on for an entire 12 hour shift. While it does tend to set into the creases after about 8 hours (and I do not have an office job where I sit for long periods of time), I can easily smudge it out with my finger and it will look freshly applied. With primer, this shadow is good to go for about 12 hours before any creasing sets in...although with primer it doesn't smudge out as easily when touching up.
I love this mascara. It works just like it is supposed to. I am limited in the mascaras I use as many irritate my eyes. Some people mentioned this product flaking or bothering their eyes and I had no problems with this both in the sample size or the two full sized ones I've used. It does add a lot of lash drama and applies smoothly. For those saying that it smudges, I suggest throwing on a coat of cheap drug store mascara over it. I've gone rock climbing with both on together and have had the great lashes from the hypnose and smudge-proof bonus from the cheap stuff. I was actually able to go out right afterwards to dinner and only needed to apply lipstick! If I'm just going out to dinner or drinks, the hypnose by itself is fantastic!!!
Ok. Here's my honest review. This set is listed as purples. It is not. It's bronzes and blue. I tried them and a friend of mine who works at a makeup counter tried them and could not achieve the looks shown. 1. overall base. much more orange than expected from looking at it. very orange-bronze. very shimmery. 2. lid. not a bad mate colour. applies the same as it looks. 3. crease. you really need to layer it to get any colour down. even with primer does not stay on well and well...ends up built up in the crease of my eye after about an hour or so. 4. highlighter. beautiful shimmery colour. applies much darker than it looks and kind of does the opposite of highlighting. 5. liner. looks like a violet-navy colour with copper glitter flecks. looks great in the set...not so great on the eye. applies more navy.
All of the shadows have great texture (quite silky). They all apply smoothly (just not so much with the included applicators). They blend well (aside from the liner). They also do not stay put, do not look like the example, and apply much different than one would expect from being listed under 'purples'. If you have pale Asian toned skin like me, I would not suggest this. If you have darker tanned skin, it would probably look great. Just don't expect any purple tones!
